Somehow, someway, The Bachelorette season 17 is here. It feels like just yesterday Matt James concluded his season of The Bachelor and walked away hand in hand with winner Rachael Kirkconnell, only to split soon after. Matt and Rachael are now back together, and it’s time to say hello to a new season of the long-running ABC franchise. What a whirlwind!

Katie Thurston is leading the new season of The Bachelorette, who fans will know from the most recent season of The Bachelor. Though Matt saw Katie as more of a friend than anything romantic, America fell in love with her for her quirkiness and willingness to defend those who needed it most. Katie is a great pick for the show’s lead, and after her, Michelle Young will be the next Bachelorette.

So when does The Bachelorette season 17 premiere? Today’s Monday, so should we expect the dating show to take on its usual weekly time slot tonight?
