The Bachelorette Season 17: What’s up with the contestant bios?
By Ariba Bhuvad
The Bachelorette Season 17 is just weeks away from premiering, which will finally end the slightly long Bachelor Nation hiatus. There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding this season given the tumultuous year this franchise has had. Will people tune in? Or more specifically will people tune in sans Chris Harrison?
If you’ve been active on social media, then you’ve likely seen many Bachelor Nation fans protest his absence for the upcoming season. This could present as a problem as we get ready for Katie Thurston’s moment in the spotlight. But there are still plenty of people that are ready to get back to Bachelor Nation’s regularly scheduled programming–and I’m amongst them.
Earlier this week, ABC announced the official cast for The Bachelorette Season 17 along with some very interesting bios to go along with it. We’ve seen some strange announcements in the past, but this is something entirely different…
After perusing the Twitterverse to see people’s reactions to these bios, we couldn’t help ourselves and decided to share some of them below. Check them out–and please do leave your comments, there is quite a bit to unravel with these bios.
The Bachelorette Season 17 bios
Let’s take a look at some of these bios and fan reactions, shall we?
I’m sorry–skin salesman? What in the world is that?! I’m not sure I want the answer to that…
I couldn’t agree more, this has Mean Girls written all over it–literally.
Landon’s bio might be the most relatable one–he’s a Belieber and Christmas lights make him happy. I’m sold!
I mean, I know we’re all enamored with the Rock’s physique, but how often are we thinking about what he eats on cheat days?
How often is this guy in a situation where there are piranhas?
We can say what we want about the strange bios, but they’ve certainly captured our attention, haven’t they?
The Bachelorette Season 17 premieres on Monday, June 7, 2021, on ABC at 8 PM EST!
