Katie Thurston’s best moment #3: Justice is served

This season truly was a season of firsts—one of the firsts being that the mean girl drama was truly called out for the first time in living memory! Not only did Matt James use his stance as the lead to make it clear that bullying would not be tolerated, but Katie herself also did some on-the-ground work to clean up the “toxic” environment in the mansion.

Not only did Katie defend Sarah after her departure (really, what was the point of continuing to talk about her?), but she also stepped outside of “accepted” behavior to defend the newcomers in the house (the five women who came in midway through the season), realizing that it obviously wasn’t their fault and they had no control over the timing!

Why it was great: Katie, continuing her role as the house contrarian, showed some real empathy for the new women, realizing that she would “hate to be on their side” of things.
