Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick are engaged!

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick are finally and officially engaged! A huge congratulations are in order for the adorable couple that makes us all scream #couplegoals. Tartick proposed in Nashville, Tennessee according to an ET exclusive.

According to Bristowe, “It was everything I could have asked for”, and based on the pictures they took afterwards, I’d say it pretty darn near perfect. The whole moment was a whirlwind for Bristowe who said she’s never locked eyes like that with Tartick before. It was quite an intense (and beautiful) moment indeed!

The proposal took place while they were filming an episode of her podcast Off The Vine and she was led to believe they’d be interviewing a “surprise special guest”. Around the 30-minute mark, Jason revealed they aren’t doing an episode, but rather…he’s about to propose to her! And just like that he pulled out the ring box from the drawer and got down on his knees.

At the moment, Bristowe couldn’t gather her emotions and realized she was wearing a shirt that said “Tequila for Breakfast”. Sure, it was probably not the ideal outfit to be wearing, but hey, it’s quite fitting for the two of them, isn’t it?

Following the proposal, the couple had an engagement photo shoot, and there were adorable as ever! In every picture their excitement is palpable and it’s clear they couldn’t be any happier than they are at that very moment.

Later on, the couple changed into formal wear and continued to have their photoshoot as Bristowe showed off her 5.09-carat ring, which Tartick bought from a Canada-based jeweler, Paris Jewellers. Fun fact: The jewelry shop is right near the town where Bristowe grew up!

The plan was originally to propose to Bristowe in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where they’re actually going to vacation this week with Bristowe’s mother and stepfather. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bristowe hasn’t seen her mother, and Tartick was concerned about customs issues (that means that the ring is worth a lot of money!) with the ring so he decided to change the plans up.

It was the perfect way to surprise Bristowe who said she would have expected him to do this in Mexico but was so happy that it ended up happening the way it did. It was intimate and special, and just the two of them!

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick first connected when he came on her podcast in the fall of 2018. Prior to that, Bristowe was working through her engagement with Shawn Booth breaking off, so Tartick wanted to take his time before he tried to pursue her.

But once he was on her podcast, things basically took off from there. Their first date was in January 2019, they moved into together in June 2019, and nearly two years later, they are now engaged!

We are so incredibly happy for the couple, and can’t wait to see what the future brings them!
