Are Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell together again?

So, are former Bachelor Matt James and contestant Rachael Kirkconnell together again?

Before I tell you, I’m going to give you a spoiler alert and a brief recap if you somehow were living under a rock for the past few months. Or maybe you’re just now getting caught up with the latest season of The Bachelor. 

But *spoiler alert* Bachelor Matt James doesn’t choose frontrunner Rachael Kirkconnell at the end of the show to propose to.

As fans were disappointed in this ending, there were pictures, comments, and past situations resurfacing that showed Kirkconnell in a not-so-good light. It led fans to speculate if she was racist or if she was just plain ignorant which in turn caused James to walk away from the relationship.

Now fast forward to just recently when James and Kirkconnell were spotted in New York together. Friends? More than friends? Interesting.

Are Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell rekindling their romance?

It all started when Reality Steve, The Bachelor’s infamous spoiler and rumor mill insider tweeted “It’s been a while but here’s some news: Matt and Rachael? Yeah, they’re not over. They’re currently in New York together. FYI.”

There were paparazzi shots of Kirkconnell visiting James’ condo on Wednesday and then later walking together in Chinatown.

A source told E! Online, “Rachael and Matt are completely just friends. He has no intentions of dating her in the future.”

Later, it was discovered that there were multiple sources from Matt’s side shutting down the rumor of them reconciling. YIKES. Sources also claimed that Kirkconnell was in NYC visiting friends, and was the one who initiated the meet-up with James.

Since the airing of After the Final Rose, Kirkconnell has since then apologized for her pictures and has been attempting to work on herself and learning “what it means to be Black in America” as James had noted during that episode.

So looks like they’re just friends…for now.
