When does The Bachelorette season 17 start?

There is no doubting that fans of The Bachelor franchise were super excited when it was announced that former contestant, Katie Thurston, is set to be the next leading woman for The Bachelorette. It was a no-brainer.

Katie Thurston is sweet, strong, and super funny, as she made everyone burst into laughter when she brought a vibrator to her first introduction to Bachelor Matt James. Thurston continued to impress fans as she spoke up for what was right even if she was the only one speaking. She’s all-around an amazing person, so when can we see our queen on our screens again?

The Bachelorette season 17 release date

Unfortunately, as of right now, there seems to be no official release date for The Bachelorette season 17, as ABC has yet to announce an exact day. However, based on past seasons, we may be able to guesstimate when we will see the next one.

With the exception of The Bachelorette season 16, seasons four through 15 of The Bachelorette aired in late May each year, establishing a pretty easy-to-follow pattern. The 16thh season of the franchise most likely would’ve been released in May last year, however, due to the global pandemic, it was released later in the year in October 2020.

By the timeline of most seasons, one would think that The Bachelorette season 17 would be released in May 2021 or sometime soon after. According to the official Instagram of the series, however, the season premiere is expected to air this summer. Summer 2021 officially begins on June 20, so will we have to wait that long?

We know it could potentially be a long wait until we get The Bachelorette season 16, so in the meantime, we’ve been watching Katie Thurston’s Instagram, @ventwithkatiee, to see if she’ll drop any more info about the upcoming season.

Though she has yet to let us know of any release dates or potential cast members right now, we’ll be sure to keep you posted when she finally does, or when ABC drops more announcements.
