JoJo Fletcher and fiance Jordan Rodgers are trading in their days in the Bachelor franchise for TBS’ newest dating competition, The Big D, as its newest and first hosts. Before you jump to any conclusions regarding the show’s name, let us explain what this show actually is.

Taking a note out of, well a culmination of all the reality dating shows out there, The Big D, is a social experiment that will put recent divorcees on a journey to love in the midst of paradise–with a twist. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) each divorcee’s ex will be along for the ride, making things extremely awkward and of course, dramatic.

Over the course of 10 episodes, a total of 10 divorced couples will move their lives to Costa Rica as they get back into the world of dating. This world is difficult as it is but with your ex lingering around right after your divorce sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Both JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers are no strangers to this world of bizarre and awkward reality dating and are the perfect hosts to guide these folks through this time in their life. Plus, we’ve seen JoJo step in for Chris Harrison as a host in the past so she knows how this world works.

JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers take on The Big D

As hosts, JoJo and Jordan will guide the contestants through a variety of relationship EX-ercises (get it?) that will help them make connections with other singles, come to an understanding with their exes, and work through any issues they’ve had with dating in the past.

Every time a person fails to be up to the challenge, they will be eliminated. Of course, JoJo and Jordan will have to keep a watchful eye over all the jealous exes trying to sending to their competition home or those coming to the defense of their exes’ honor. I can imagine that if you see your ex being treated poorly, you will have something to say–and that’s the perfect way to stir up some reality TV drama.

Both Fletcher and Rodgers are excited to take on this opportunity, and as a fan of this Bachelor Nation couple–I’m so glad they’re doing it!

"After a year full of challenges, the opportunity to join forces with TBS and help people find love was a no-brainer. We’re excited to go on this adventure in paradise with romantic hopefuls as they step out of their comfort zones and face unconventional dating scenarios in hopes of finding new love."
