After quite an interesting season, Matt James has reached the finish line of his journey as The Bachelor! This Monday, Matt will introduce his final two to his family before making what will hands down be the biggest decision he’s faced all season: whether to get down on one knee to ask either Rachael Kirkconnell or Michelle Young for their hand in marriage.

Although we have a good idea of just how The Bachelor season 25 will end thanks to the spoilers which had leaked out before the finale’s end, it should be interesting to see what exactly transpires during the finale. It’s also going to be interesting to see what the fallout of the episode will be as we’re in for one of the most dramatic After the Final Rose specials in years!

The After the Final Rose special always takes place after The Bachelor finale and serves as a chance for viewers to catch up with the Bachelor and his final women. During the special, Matt James will get the chance to sit down and reflect upon the season alongside Rachael and Michelle in an episode filled with reunions, confrontations, and powerful one-on-ones. It’s also expected the special will be used to confirm plans for the next season of The Bachelorette.

While the season itself is typically filmed months before its broadcast, the After the Final Rose special is traditionally taped a few days before the finale’s broadcast. Because of this, ABC is able to provide viewers with a look at where the Bachelor and his final two are at in life weeks after leaving the Bachelor bubble.
