It was a hometown episode for the ages on Monday’s episode of The Bachelor Season 25 as Matt James‘ favorite four faced some tough conversations to determine if he is really “The One”.

With a surprise exit, a rough meeting with gravity, and skeptical parents all around, there was a little bit of something for everyone as three ladies got that lucky ticket to Fantasy Suites.

But between the hot seat interrogations and the numerous “I’m falling in love with you!” conversations, who made it into our power rankings?

Check them out below and be sure to share your rankings in the comments below!

The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 8 power rankings

Rachael - The Bachelor
(ABC/Craig Sjodin) RACHAEL, MATT JAMES /

#1: Rachael

Falling in love can be a scary thing, but maybe not as scary as jumping out of a plane attached to another human being. Lucky for our first place winner this week, she got to do both things in one hometown date! Rachael and her bold, yet unlucky journey to Earth take the number one spot.

Trust is a big thing in any relationship and Rachael decided to take Matt’s trust to the next level by having them go skydiving before meeting her parents. Things seemed to be smooth sailing right until the landing when Rachael took an unfortunate tumble and literally slammed into the ground. Seriously, ouch!

Matt came to her rescue and the scary moment was a wake-up call on how much he cares about her. That night Matt revealed as much to Rachael’s parents and it looks like these two are really head over heels for each other!

Matt James, Michelle Young, The Bachelor Season 25
(ABC/Craig Sjodin) MICHELLE, MATT JAMES /

#2: Michelle

As if our second place lady wasn’t already adorable, she decided to sweeten the deal and involve her too cute students to win over Matt’s favor. Ms. Young, you take the runner-up spot in our rankings!

A hometown date in a bubble could be lame or it could be amazing as Michelle proved when she brought Matt into her classroom where her kids were waiting via Zoom to grill our Bachelor and make sure he is up to standards. After the questioning was over, Matt and Michelle met with her parents (who are also the cutest, btw) for more real-life interrogations.

The night ended with some basketball in the driveway and Michelle’s parents saying they would gladly welcome Matt into their family. Awwww! How many more times can I use the word “adorable” when talking about these two?!

(ABC/Craig Sjodin) MATT JAMES, SERENA P.
(ABC/Craig Sjodin) MATT JAMES, SERENA P. /

#3: Serena P.

Finally this week we have the lady who dropped a hard truth with her hard decision to end things with our Bachelor. Serena P. takes the final place in our top three.

After a fun day date with Matt, things were off for Serena during the conversations with her parents and sister that evening and she couldn’t figure out why. She left the hometown feeling full of fear and doubt about her relationship when all she was looking for was clarity.

Matt felt the hesitation and decided to visit Serena before the rose ceremony where she made the hard choice to do what was best for herself. Serena told Matt that he is “not her person” and sent herself home. Serena, way to be a strong, independent woman who did what you knew you needed to do and not lead Matt on! You go, girl! Find that one true love!

dark. Next. How old is Bri Springs’ mom from The Bachelor?

And then there were three!

We have Women Tell All next week and then it’s on to Fantasy Suites. Stay tuned for who makes our power rankings in the final few weeks of The Bachelor Season 25!
