The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 7: Dramatic moment #2:

Matt sent a fan favorite home after expressing he wished they had more time, despite giving her no time at any point during The Bachelor Season 25.

Matt gave Abigail his first impression rose on night one after an actual conversation about the struggles of finding love with a hearing impairment. Looking back now, we have to wonder what Matt’s intent was.

Abigail has been someone who most of Bachelor Nation thought would be an amazing partner for Matt. She’s opened her heart to Matt and shared very difficult conversations about life and love while never once being drawn into the drama of the house.

As the weeks have worn on, she’s increasingly doubted herself and her relationship with Matt as their one-on-one time has diminished and one-on-ones were given to everyone but her. Episode 7 started the same way.

After Serena P. was given a second one-on-one over Abigail and Jessenia, Abigail was understandably upset. Later in the episode, when reading off the names of the women on the group date, it came down to Jessenia or Abigail for the final one-on-one. Abigail’s name was read off, and she was officially the one left without an individual date.

“I don’t know what else I need to be doing,” Abigail said in her monologue. “I feel defeated right now.”

Abigail finally received some alone time with Matt on the group date, getting to sit down with him. She told him it’s been hard, and he asked her why… Bro, what? Are you blind? Abigail continued by asking if Matt can give her the attention she deserves, and Matt claimed that he felt so comfortable with her after night one that he explored other relationships. Which led to stronger connections with other women. WHAT? Make it make sense.

“I apologize,” Matt said, asking Abigail if he could walk her out. As they stood by the van, Matt told Abigail he wished they had more time, which could have happened if HE GAVE HER MORE TIME AT ANY POINT OVER THE PAST TWO MONTHS. A very, very simple fix to that problem, Matt.

As Abigail left Nemacolin, she told the cameras how she makes men realize what they want, but they never want it with her. My heart broke right there. Justice for Abigail.

When Matt finally went back to tell the other women that he sent Abigail home, he told them that he hadn’t expected their conversation to go that way tonight. Huh? That also makes no sense. You felt like you wanted her to go, but if she hadn’t brought it up, you wouldn’t have done anything?? That’s weak.

If that’s not bad enough, on Matt’s one-on-one with Jessenia, he told her that good things happen to those who wait. Not Abigail. And he used the date to see if he could get there with Jessenia before hometowns. Not for Abigail though.

Matt was so fake with Abigail, and she deserved so much better.
