The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 7: Dramatic moment #3:

A couple of big names exit Matt’s season, including the youngest candidate deciding to leave on her own accord

The group date, which consisted of just hanging out with no actual date, was dramatic in the impact it had so late into the season, so it was broken up into two parts.

One of Abigail, Bri, Pieper, Michelle, Rachael, or Kit was going to be awarded Matt’s final group date rose and join Serena P. in securing a hometown date next week. I get that this was the time for talking and figuring things out, but what a lame date.

Bri started off the date, snagging some time with Matt to tell him that she QUIT HER JOB TO STAY WITH HIM. Bri, no! Matt is not worth it. Bri probably should tell Matt about the sacrifices she’s made to be here for him, this also sort of felt like a guilt trip, too. Regardless, Matt obviously appreciated the gesture and kissed her to end their conversation.

Pieper was up next, and she admitted to Matt that she was falling in love with him and couldn’t wait for him to meet her family next week. They also ended with a kiss.

Michelle told Matt that she is 100% committed to him, and their quick conversation ended with a kiss.

Abigail was next, and… we’ll touch on that later. But they did not end with a kiss.

Rachael, who I really don’t want to give more screen time, went next. She claimed she’s never felt this way before and had been searching her whole life. Matt said he thinks about her when she’s not around. Kiss. Next.

Kit was the last one to speak with Matt, after confessing some concerns in a monologue beforehand. She expressed to Matt how she wants a cheerleader who will support her schooling, traveling, and life plans before she can “settle down” at the very, very old age of 25. OK, Kit. She called herself a long-term investment and that she would be much later to start a family than the other women. Matt, who has expressed wanting to start a family, was A-OK with it and wanted Kit around. They also kissed.

When Rachael was given the group date rose and a private Aloe Blacc concert, Bri might have been regretting quitting her job. Kit seemed rather upset and expressed more doubt about The Bachelor process.

Kit searched out Matt later that night, and I had Demi flashbacks from Colton’s season. Kit started the conversation by telling Matt she could envision falling in love and has opened up more than she thought possible, BUT she just didn’t feel that she could continue.

Matt wanted her to stay, admitting he was attracted to Kit for being so sure of herself and not caring what others think of her. Kit didn’t relent and decided to head back to New York City.

With Kit admitting that she needed a cheerleader as she lived her life before settling down and deciding to go home as suddenly as she did, you have to wonder why she came on the show if not for the inevitable fame it would bring her. No matter how “mature” she seemed.

Regardless, the last group saw the exit of two prominent women—for very different reasons.
