The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 6: Worst moment: Bowling fake-out
Remember the bowling drama on Arie’s season? Arie (AKA production) decided the losing team would have to go home instead of joining the after-party, but then “changed his mind” and decided they could join after all.
As we all remember, Arie got a TON of heat for this from season 22 villain Krystal. However, I kind of saw her point, as did other Bachelor alum such as Rachel Lindsay. It’s annoying to have no control in a situation, be told you’re competing for time, then have the rug pulled out from under you.
At least on Arie’s season, it was almost believable that he was the one calling the shots in that scenario, the one who had changed his mind. The same cannot be said about this situation.
It was SUCH an obvious ploy by production to create the momentary drama of the losing team’s sadness and anger, followed by their relief at being allowed to go, followed by the winning team’s annoyance. It didn’t even really seem to work; Matt’s time at the after-party with the losing team wasn’t even shown!
If the show is going to repeat a move from a past season, at least try and reach a bit further back into the show’s archive so it’s not so fresh in the minds of the viewers!
Who knew bowling would become such a repetitive source of drama on The Bachelor?
