The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 6: Dramatic moment #3:

A heartbreaking goodbye to one of the biggest Bachelor fan favorites in recent memory

I’m biased, OK? Katie is literally the greatest person to walk this Earth.

In all seriousness, Katie is amazing, but that’s not the reason she’s mentioned here.

Since walking out of her limo with her favorite vibrator on the first night, Katie has captivated audiences with her powerful energy. She was the only woman to stand up for Sarah, going as far as sharing a heartfelt moment with the embattled contestant about the pain of a father suffering, and she was the only member of the house to actually put her foot down on the rampant bullying.

At this point, it might be clear to see that this is a goodbye column.

After a seemingly very fun one-on-one date, which involved pranking Matt’s best friend and Bachelor sweetheart Tyler C., Matt and Katie sat down for a dinner date. Katie opened up about her past relationships, sharing about why she felt her previous relationships didn’t work and how she felt she and Matt might be different.

Katie opened up about owning who she is, wanting a man who will accept her for who she is, and telling Matt she’d be there for him until the end—if he’d have her. Well, he would not.

Matt grabbed the rose from the pedestal, staring intently at Katie and telling her how she had been a defining woman in the house—for both him and the other women—since the beginning, BUT (that ever so heart-wrenching but) he just was farther along with other women in the house.

That’s fine. With just three other women lef—wait, there were nine women left? Hm. Alright, Matt.

Katie was one of the most genuine and compassionate candidates on The Bachelor that I’ve ever seen, and that made her a fan favorite. To see her axed so soon, so suddenly, was pretty shocking. It might not be traditional drama, but this is the dramatics that we as viewers sometimes can’t predict.

Bonus drama: Serena C., the last and least member of the OG squad, felt a reason to come at Katie after the M.J.-Jessenia two-on-one for causing drama in revealing the toxicity and bullying in the house. Strike one for Serena C.

The morning after the rose ceremony, Serena C. felt the need to find and confront Katie because Serena felt Katie felt didn’t fully receive the prior night’s message. The only reason why Serena would be upset about Katie exposing the bullying in the house would be because she was a bully herself.

Serena C. accused Katie of not being there for Matt, which Katie of course denied, and Katie later found Serena telling some of the other women that Katie had told her that she wasn’t there for Matt. Good Lord. A bully and a liar? Strike two.

After Katie’s bags were wheeled out by the nameless Bachelor worker, the cameras cut to Serena C.’s smug look. As if she won’t be the next contestant axed. Strike three. We’ll see ya.
