The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 6: One-on-one Date: Katie Thurston

Matt made the perfect decision when he chose Katie Thurston for this one-on-one date. Not only because she deserves the quality alone time to progress her relationship, but because she’s super lighthearted and quirky. So when she learned they would be spending the day pranking Matt’s best friend Tyler Cameron, she was eager and excited to get into it.

The two chuckled and laughed their way through this hilarious date, but how could you not. They were giving instructions through an earpiece, to an actor who was massaging Tyler. They sat in a surveillance room and barely held it together. When they finally let Tyler in on the joke, they all laughed it off together and it made for great television.

After that, the two spent the evening getting to know each other more. I think anyone who has been watching this season can see that these two don’t have as strong of a connection then some. They haven’t progressed as fast as others and we don’t see them being as affectionate with each other.

As the date came to an end, unfortunately, Matt decided not to give Katie the date rose and sent her home that night. I’m glad he realized things weren’t going anywhere and didn’t want to lead her on at all. I think it was the right decision for the two of them, even though I’m sure Katie was feeling pretty crappy. I know a lot of people will have mixed feelings about this decision, but if the spoilers are right, we may be seeing her sooner rather than we thought.

That’s it for week six of The Bachelor Season 25! All of the date roses have been given out and Matt has made his choices. Now we have to wait until next week to see what other women get the chance at the coveted rose!
