Location is everything, as they say. But picking the right spot for filming during an ongoing pandemic can’t be easy, especially for The Bachelorette now. According to Reality Steve, season 17 of The Bachelorette will no longer be filming in Canada as recent reports suggested. The question is, what gives?
On social media, the unexpected change was recently revealed, but currently, the reason for switching up the venue remains unannounced. Reality Steve claims that various resorts in the United States are currently being scouted instead, but that a new location has yet to be pinned. While season 17 will no longer play out in Canada, those working behind the scenes are apparently still aiming for “a colder weather location.”
Obviously, fans online quickly took notice. After one
the news, people began discussing and speculating potential reasons for this change in the comments section and, of course, whether or not they were on board with it.
Thus far, the general consensus (and best guess) circulating online seems to be that the decision to find a new spot for filming likely came down to Canada’s strict, and still very necessary, COVID-19 restrictions. Many familiar with just how bad things have been for our neighbors to the north during this pandemic said that they weren’t at all surprised. But it’s hard to imagine where they’ll end up next right now.
After all, everyone participating in season 17 of The Bachelorette will still be required to quarantine for 14 days, no matter what resort they ultimately choose. And so, some online are wondering where the contestants and crew will end up and if this last-minute change might prove to be a little too last minute.
Because of the ongoing pandemic, the options for a perfect filming location are starting to look even more limited. So stay tuned.
