Rumors are revving up that Matt James recently spilled the beans about contestant Michelle Young’s fate on season 25 of The Bachelor. But did he?

On Instagram, the season 25 lead shared a post of the moment he met Michelle. In the shot, they’re holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes. Matt’s caption reads, “Better late than never” followed by a big red heart emoji. And obviously, eyebrows were raised for good reason.

In episode 4, it was apparent to everyone who witnessed their one-on-one date that Matt and Michelle had an instant connection, an effortless comfortability with each other, and very real potential as a couple. Matt even admitted that Michelle “embodied” everything he was looking for in a woman and a wife.

Just like that, it seemed the 27-year-old was a top contender on the show. And many on social media began speculating that Michelle might even win.
