Katie Thurston has truly been a breath of fresh air this season on The Bachelor as one of the season’s most real contestants. Someone who has been unafraid to stand up to speak out against the bullying we’ve seen from some of the other contestants this season, often playing devil’s advocate for the women who have found themselves targeted by the majority group.

To recap, Sarah found herself backed into a corner last week after a dramatic series of events which included a crashed group date followed by a day spent upstairs in her room which set up for a tense exchange when it came time to read the week’s latest date card. This led to a heated confrontation in which the group laid into Sarah without any thought for her well-being or anyone actually taking a moment to ask her about the situation.

The one exception to this was Katie, who was quick to check on Sarah to see how she was doing in a sweet one-on-one before her swift exit from the show later that day.

After coming to Sarah’s defense last week when the other contestants turned against her in a cringy confrontation, Katie once again put the ladies in place when they attempted to drag Sarah through the mud once again in mocking her exit from the show. It was a moment that continued to solidify Katie’s growing status as a fan favorite and one that also happened to catch the attention of The Bachelorette‘s Riley Christian!

The Bachelorette’s Riley Chrisitan gets flirty with The Bachelor’s Katie Thurston

Like many watching from home, The Bachelorette season 16 favorite Riley Christian was in awe of Katie’s realness. “Ok, Katie keeps it all the way real on The Bachelor. You love to see it,” Riley tweeted Monday night, before deciding to shoot his shot in a sense.

After watching Katie killing it on the show, Riley enlisted help from his followers in tracking Katie down on social media which caught Katie’s eye and earned Riley a sweet reply.

Clearly surprised by his ability to catch Katie’s attention played it cool with a sweet, yet flirty follow-up of his own tweeting, “Hey hey!  That confidence and having people’s back like that is top tier. Keep killin’ em.”

Okay, we are living for the pair’s flirty Twitter banter and are going to need to see the pair come face to face in Paradise if things don’t work out for Katie this season on The Bachelor — which this exchange honestly has us questioning.
