Week two of The Bachelor Season 25 was full of drama, featuring these best and worst moments!

I’ll say this—I have been pleasantly surprised by The Bachelor Season 25 so far. Night one was a great mix of drama and emotion, and this week continued in that vein!

Sure, there was some repetitive Bachelor fare. We’ve probably seen a version of the “wedding photoshoot” at least 10 times throughout the years. However, Matt James continues to feel “new” in the best way. He seems comfortable but not too comfortable or performer-esque.

I also like how the show is now kicking off each episode by jumping into a dramatic moment to come–in this case, the rose ceremony panic attack. It’s a nice change from the usual “Tonight, on The Bachelor” introduction.

This episode had some great (and not so great) moments. Let’s get to the best and worst!

The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 2: Best moment: Matt’s question to Sarah

Question asking can be such a rare occurrence for a Bachelor. Sometimes it seems like the leads just sit back and wait for the contestants to impress them. On his date with Sarah, however, Matt rose above this standard!

After Sarah revealed her father’s ALS, Matt could have responded with a generic “that must be so hard for you” response. But after listening to her carefully, he said, “I want to pose a question to you” and asked her, “What can I do throughout this experience to show you that I could be someone you’d want to be with?”

Because of the lead’s position of power and the way the show puts them on a pedestal, it can be easy for a Bachelor to come across as arrogant, expecting that every girl wants to be with him. At this moment, Matt really showed his inexperience with the franchise, in the best way!

I really fell in love with Matt as the Bachelor at this moment, and it seemed like Sarah did too!
