The Bachelor Season 25, Episode 1: Worst Moment: Lady and the Tramp Kiss
Facepalm. I know the limo exit spectacles aren’t always up to the contestants, but to whoever decided this one…why?
Alana Milne otherwise seemed like a lovely photographer in a nice red dress, but I just always take issue when anyone is awkwardly forced into a kiss, especially five seconds after meeting someone! It was just so silent and uncomfortable…it didn’t even look like they smiled afterward!
Thankfully we got some closed captioning from one of the women watching to break up the silence: “It was like, face to face there.” It was!
I get that the stakes have to be upped every season, and Night One kisses are now the norm, but shouldn’t the Bachelor’s first kiss of the season be his choice?
This reminded me a bit too much of Bennett kissing Tayshia while she was blindfolded during their artsy group date last season, a move I was not a fan of.
Maybe I’m also just grossed out by kissing with noodles in your mouth. Who knows? Either way, these forced kisses are always my least favorite pick-up moves. Alana got a rose at the end of the night, though, so what do I know?
All in all, it was a very nice, vintage-feeling premiere.
