Last night’s episode of The Bachelor Season 25 introduced us to Matt James for the first time. He was nervous but built connections with many of the women.

Matt James received a crash course in Bachelor Nation on last night’s episode of The Bachelor season 25. After learning more about Matt, he and Chris Harrison sat down to talk about the pressure of being the first black Bachelor. Matt seemed nervous but ready to take on the task of finding his future wife.

Bachelor Nation first discovered Matt James because he was best friends with Tyler Cameron from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. Matt is a devoted Christian, a lifelong athlete, and started a non-profit organization that provides free tours to underserved elementary kids. He currently lives in New York City and has a very close relationship with his mom. Matt has never been in love before, so many are rooting for him to finally make a love connection.

The Bachelor contestants had many different titles, including a ballerina, lawyer, and former broadcast journalist. The limo entrances started pretty tamely, but then some of the more shocking ladies arrived. One lady showed up wearing only lingerie, and another shared a spaghetti bowl with Matt that ended with a sweet kiss. The funniest and most surprising entrance was from Katie Thurston, who decided to bring her vibrator.

Matt had great conversations with many of the women. There was a strange moment when the vibrator girl interrupted a heartfelt discussion about the Puerto Rico hurricanes and how they impacted her family.

One woman, who nicknamed herself Queen Victoria, continued to stir the pot by stealing Matt away from others even though she had already chatted with him a few times.

The lady of the night was Abigail Heringer. She and Matt shared an intimate kiss, and he quickly went to grab the first impression rose to give to her. The rose ceremony promptly followed, and several women were nervous since they didn’t have time with Matt. After multiple COVID tests and quarantining, eight women went home last night. The most surprising person to stay was Queen Victoria.
