The Bachelorette Season 16, Episode 12 recap: Tayshia’s fantasy suite dates

In last night’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 16, Tayshia had the fantasy suite dates. She had some great dates, but one guy left, and another returned.

Ivan started the fantasy suite dates in this week’s first episode of The Bachelorette Season 16. Tayshia and Ivan decided to cool down in an ice bath while Chris Harrison watched them attempt the world’s longest coldest kiss. The pair was freezing, but they bonded over synchronized breathing. They broke the existing record by an additional minute!

Ivan and Tayshia had a great evening filled with champagne and donuts. They accepted the fantasy suite card and enjoyed uninterrupted time together. Tayshia commented on falling in love with Ivan. They spent the night in an adorable camper trailer, but the bed was awkwardly small. The next morning, Tayshia said they talked about more serious topics like religion, and she still felt like she was falling for him.

Tayshia’s next date was with Zac. They had a creative date rolling around in body paint on top of a canvas. Zac and Tayshia had a fun time during the day and had a more serious conversation in the evening. Tayshia asked Zac about him not wanting to have kids. He shared that he changed his mind and wanted a family now. He even expressed his love for Tayshia. They continued their evening by accepting the fantasy suite card.

Their fantasy suite was in a very romantic hotel room. Tayshia shared with the camera that she was in love with Zac. The couple had huge smiles on their face the next morning as they jumped on their bed.

There was an awkward moment in the hotel when Zac rejoined the other two guys after his time with Tayshia. But they overcame the silence when Brendan shared what his date card said.

Brendan and Tayshia’s date was looking at Neil Lane’s jewelry with Neil Lane himself. Brendan looked wildly uncomfortable as Tayshia tried on engagement rings. He completely shut down as the date went on, and it was clear he was questioning his relationship with Tayshia.

The evening continued to be difficult for Brendan. He expressed how challenging the date was for him, and he shocked everyone by eliminating himself. He didn’t feel ready for an engagement at the end of this. Tayshia was surprised and sad but understood how he felt. They had a tearful goodbye.

After Brendan’s departure, former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsey met with Tayshia to discuss the remaining guys. Ben was a big part of their conversation. Right after this talk, Ben met up with Chris and said that he had to tell Tayshia that he loved her.

Ben arrived at Tayshia’s hotel room and said he loved her. Tayshia looked upset and confused. She had to walk away for a minute, and we won’t know what happened until tomorrow night.

The next episode of The Bachelorette is Monday, Dec. 22nd, on ABC at 8 PM EST!
