Is there an After the Final Rose special after The Bachelorette season 16 finale?

After the finale of The Bachelorette, Bachelor Nation fans have become accustomed to getting the chance to catch up with the Bachelorette and her final two men in the After the Final Rose special.

Much like the Men Tell All special, the After the Final Rose special has always been a nice treat for fans to get to catch up with the Bachelorette and her final two after the season has wrapped to hear more about what went into the final moments of the season and to reflect on the final man’s decision to either pop the question or walk away.

The specials are always filled with drama and are the perfect way to cap off a cycle of the show with a nice retrospective episode. While the special has become a Bachelorette tradition, but will there be an After the Final Rose special after the season 16 finale?

Is there an After the Final Rose special after The Bachelorette season 16 finale?

Unfortunately, ABC has decided not to air an After the Final Rose special after The Bachelorette season 16 finale which is a major disappointment, to say the least! Instead, ABC will be airing a specially scheduled episode of Supermarket Sweep meaning that our final moments of the season will come in the season finale and not in the traditional retrospective.

Why is there no After the Final Rose special after The Bachelorette season 16 finale?

While ABC has not directly released a statement explaining why there will be no After the Final Rose special airing this Tuesday night after the finale, it seems likely we have the ongoing pandemic to blame.

Between the need for those involved to quarantine before production and the fact that production for the season operated on a more unique schedule, it’s likely ABC just wasn’t able to pull things together in order to make it happen. Although there won’t be a follow-up special, we’re optimistic ABC will throw together some sort of montage at the end of the finale to catch us up on where everyone is after the final rose was handed out.
