The Bachelorette Season 16: Hometown Heroes
These guys are definitely making it to hometowns. I’m not sure how hometowns are going to work during The Bachelorette Season 16. Maybe a PowerPoint about the town with family calling in via Zoom? Regardless, these guys are the odds-on favorites to take home the final rose.
4. Brendan (8-1)
I think the top four is pretty interchangeable right now. With that said, Brendan took a bit of a tumble here, just because he wasn’t really on screen all that much this week. I can’t remember anything that he did to stand out. I think Tayshia is still VERY into him, though, so it was enough to keep in the number four slot. We’ll see what lies ahead.
3. Ben (8-1)
I mentioned roller coasters earlier and boy oh boy was Ben a roller coaster on this group date. (Mostly) everyone opened up with important and real stories about themselves and Ben made the peculiar decision to strip down fully naked in front of the whole group, saying that he was ready to give all of himself to Tayshia, both physically and emotionally. At first glance, most of Bachelor Nation rolled their eyes – “Ok yeah this jacked guy stripped down naked, how brave.” A short while later, Ben opened up to Tayshia about body issues that he has had growing up. He spoke of eating disorders and the long journey that he’s had to get to where he is today. It takes a lot of guts to talk about something like that on national television and it just goes to show that you should never judge a book by its cover.
2. Zac C. (5-1)
Speaking of bravery, Zac C. discussed the turmoil that he went through in his mid-to-late 20s. He spoke of his brain tumor diagnosis at the age of 23. He had surgery to get it removed but spiraled into a several year period of addiction stemming from post-surgery prescription medication. While he was dealing with his addiction issues, he was married, divorced, had a DUI, stole money from his father, went to rehab, and has since recovered. He spoke of how he has learned from it and has become an addiction specialist who helps others get out of the same hole that he was in a few short years ago. Tayshia was enamored with his maturity and vulnerability and it seems like he’s a LOCK to make it to at least hometowns and if not further.
1. Ivan (5-1)
Ivan is still number one in the rankings and also number one in all of our hearts. I think it will be close between him and the rest of the top four, but he still has a slight edge in my books.
Do you agree with this week’s rankings? Who are your favorites? Let me know in the comments!
Tune in to watch Tayshia continue her journey to find love on Tuesday, 12/8 at 8/7c on ABC!
