The Bachelorette Season 16, Episode 8: Worst Moment: Eazy’s departure
Poor Eazy. This was really a rough one. There were so many reasons this was the worst moment I don’t even know where to start. But let’s start with the good!
Eazy received his first one-on-one date with Tayshia, and the two embarked on a pretty hilarious (if producer planted) ghost hunting date. I find myself torn on whether this family ever even lived on the land of the resort, or if the whole thing was genuinely just made up. Remains to be seen.
It seemed like Tayshia and Eazy had some scary fun during the ghost hunting, but it was painfully obvious there was no chemistry between these two (at least on her side). One of the most awkward things to watch on The Bachelorette is a one-on-one date when you know the contestant is not making it past the nighttime portion.
And make it, he did not. Eazy was sent home not long into the dinner portion of the date. However, as bad as I thought it was going to be, it was worse. Eazy was somehow encouraged to tell Tayshia he was falling in love with her shortly before she sent him home. Though I’ve watched this show for years, it’s still unbelievable to me that production allows and encourages this despite knowing the contestant is going home that very night! So sad.
The most heartbreaking moment was when Eazy asked Tayshia in a panic, “Is this for real?” and Tayshia answered “Yes.” He then asked, “Are you sure?” and she simply said, “I am.” So cold! I credit Tayshia for not making him wait until a rose ceremony, but this whole thing was painful to watch. Best of luck, Eazy. See you in Paradise!
