Would a season of The Bachelor or Bachelorette be complete without a celebrity appearance? Absolutely not!

Now, most of the time, The Bachelor “celebrity appearances” are from country singers I’ve never heard of in my entire life. They will pop up on a one-on-one date, the contestant will act shocked even though this happens every single season, and then the couple will celebrate their blossoming romance by awkwardly making out for a crowd of strangers while the “celebrity” performs.

But I digress – every so often, The Bachelor invites someone who is really, legitimately famous. The Bachelor didn’t start getting regular celebrity appearances until around the early 2010s when the franchise finally had enough clout, but since then, they’ve racked up an impressive list of famous faces.

Here are a few who stand out the most:

Margaret Cho, The Bachelorette Season 16, Episode 3

Margaret Cho is one of the best in the business when it comes to comedy. Her cameo on the current season of The Bachelorette was both funny and dramatic as she hosted a roast session among the guys…and before long, Clare’s favorite contestant, Dale, started receiving the harshest burns.

I wish we could have seen more of Margaret’s humor on this date, but at this point in the season, it was definitely the Clare & Dale Show. Maybe she’ll turn up on a future installment!
