Was Ed tricked into going to Chris Harrison’s room by The Bachelorette producers?

The Bachelorette theory alert!

In case you missed it, a truly questionable incident occurred during last night’s episode of The Bachelorette. Not so surprisingly, Ben and Ed both wanted to go to Tayshia Adams’ room the night before the rose ceremony to talk to her. Then to the surprise of some, but maybe not all, Ed somehow ended up at Chris Harrison’s room instead, and Ben arrived at Tayshia’s room.

Suspicious? The fans seem to think so.

Was Ed set up on The Bachelorette?

On Reddit, Bachelor Nation fans are not only saying the whole thing looked like a setup, but also a pretty blatant one at that. When one user presented this Bachelorette theory, many chimed in right away saying that it’s more than just a theory–it’s a fact.

The user wrote:

"My conspiracy theory is that both Ed and Ben were planning on going to Tayshia’s room for extra time with her. Production knew that Ben has more potential with the show and with Tayshia, and deliberately sent Ed to Chris’s room. The producers got a funny scene with Ed and Ben got some much needed one on one time with Tayshia."

They went onto say that there’s no evidence to confirm their theory. In turn, many quickly agreed it was a setup, but mostly everyone disagreed that there was no real proof, saying there’s definitely more than speculation to examine here.

One fan replied, “No evidence? Chris was mic’d lol. The contestants don’t go anywhere without producers knowing, it was definitely planned.” Another said, “Is this even a conspiracy? Lol. It’s just the truth.”

So is it?

The general consensus on social media seems to be that this was absolutely a setup. Most people replying say they couldn’t fathom that anyone watching didn’t believe it was planned.

The question then becomes, why would Ed go along with this plan? It certainly wasn’t his plan. Well, there’s a developing theory floating around about that part, too.

Fans of The Bachelorette are starting to speculate that Ed senses his time is running out. Many claim Tayshia definitely won’t be keeping him around much longer. And so, the latest theory is that the contestant may already be cutting some sort of deal with producers to appear on Bachelor in Paradise.

Right now, however, that much is just a theory.

In contrast, some fans still think Ed is innocent in all of this. They’re choosing to believe he really thought he was at Tayshia’s room, even if everyone else, possibly including Chris Harrison, knew it was a setup. And of course, that’s not a farfetched theory either.
