The Bachelorette Season 16, Week 6: Checking Up on Tayshia
The Bachelorette Season 16, Week 6 showed us what Tayshia really wants: a grown a** man.
The Bachelorette Season 16, Week 6 found Tayshia Adams and her men on two group dates this week. There are overarching themes to Tayshia’s plan of attack each week and this column will be a weekly update on her journey to finding her person.
The drama continues in The Bachelorette Season 16, Week 6, as the episode opens on the “Grown A** Man Challenge” where our past faves, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon put Tayshia’s men through a series of challenges to determine who is a man, and who is a man child. Despite the theme of the week, her men get more childish as the episode goes on. This leaves some clear standouts in not only our minds but Tayshia’s as well. Though she can’t see what goes on when she isn’t around, so what does she really know so far?
The week found Chasen and Ed coming at each other for the majority of it, taking up time and attention in the house. Ed accuses Chasen of putting on a show for the cameras and “not being here for the right reasons,” when all of his conversations with Tayshia have been perfectly normal. On the group date, Tayshia and Chasen discuss their families and different aspects of their lives that are important to them. Sure, Chasen takes his shirt off during the Grown A** Man Challenge, but so does Bennett, so who is in the wrong, really? To be clear, both came off as posturing and cocky; however, if the men are okay with Bennett doing it, why go after Chasen?
It does seem like Ed’s accusations are coming out of nowhere, and even when Chasen takes the approach that Tayshia specifically suggested to him, which was to speak one-on-one to Ed in order to clear the air, Ed continued to egg Chasen on. These pointless fights are already starting to annoy Tayshia, which is clear, and personally, I hope she starts to pick up on the cockiness of Bennett as well because all he is putting forward is talk.
All that being said, there are some clear standouts who have proven themselves to be Grown A** Men and they are as follows: Ben, Brendan, Ivan, and Zac C.
I even thought Noah was doing perfectly fine and the rest of the men really tried to blame the mustache, when he was doing exactly what Tayshia wanted him to. Chris Harrison asked if someone wanted to join the group date wrestling match, Noah volunteered, and Tayshia asked him to come to the cocktail party. The men felt like he was infringing, but it seems to me that they were just finding excuses to continue to be possessive over time with Tayshia.
Tayshia wanted time with Noah, and that’s what she got! That’s a done deal!
This is week two and we already have so much to handle, and so does Tayshia!
How do you think these group dates went? Which men do you think Tayshia is really eyeing up right now? One more thing: Can we talk about that silk romper!?
