The Bachelorette Season 16, Episode 6: Best moment: The return of Wells

Maybe it’s because this season has been so uncomfortably different than typical seasons, but the Bachelor Nation guest stars were so comforting to see last night! I thought we were just getting Ashley and Jared, which would have been plenty, but then the one and only Wells Adams showed up!

I’m not sure why Wells was the obvious choice to help announce this wrestling match, as we know from the firefighter debacle he doesn’t exactly excel at physical competition. However, he is a radio host and the world’s favorite bartender, so I suppose that qualifies him!

Wells really was a breath of fresh air—he never takes himself too seriously and injected some much-needed humor into this episode. The best part was when Chris Harrison asked what Wells expected from the night, and he responded with “blood, sweat, tears, regret.” It’s always nice when Chris Harrison has a worthy partner to banter with!

I confess I wanted Wells to stay for the evening portion and attempt to make the date more fun than drama-filled. Unfortunately, he had to get back to the bar. Those drinks don’t make themselves!
