For Bachelor Nation, there can be only one host. Since 2002, that host with the most has been Chris Harrison. However, there could be a change on the way and potentially, a brand new host could be filling in his shoes. Or at least, that’s what fans on social media seem to think is plausible.

But who could possibly replace Chris Harrison at any point in the future? Truly, it’s hard to say. Still, many seem to think that Wells Adams is already being prepped for the job.

Is Wells Adams replacing Chris Harrison?

On Reddit, one Bachelor fan asked after last night’s episode, “Is Wells being prepped to become the new Chris Harrison?” They added, “What do you all think? Is this a common theory that I missed?”

Last night’s episode gave this user, like many others, a few possible clues about what is still to come, as they see it. The person went on to say, “It feels like maybe they’re testing Wells’s hosting skills.” Someone quickly replied to that with, “It was my first thought but this is the first time I’ve seen people talk about it.”

In case you missed it, during the wrestling competition during last night’s group date, Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams served as a commentator along with Chris Harrison. This role likely would’ve gone to the late and great Fred Willard, who sadly passed away in May of this year.

Over on Reddit, many people said they feel that Wells would be a great replacement, when and if this possibility proves to be a Bachelor reality. But time will tell.

Right now, it’s hard for most to imagine the iconic show going on without its iconic host. Still, all good things must come to an end. After years and years

and years

of hosting reality TV dating shows, Chris Harrison must know that better than most.

There are other theories floating around, of course. In response to the initial theory, many said “nah” and thought nothing of it. One user tried to clear up the confusion, replying, “They brought in Wells bc they needed someone to help host the date with Chris nothing more lol.”

And some fans said that even if Chris retires, he won’t be replaced with Wells. There were people out there who even suggested current Bachelorette Tayshia Adams for the hosting gig. But who knows what will happen.

If we’ve learned anything from season 16–and 2020 as a whole–just about anything can happen when we least expect it. And the next person to step out of that famous limo could always be a game changer, in the end.
