The Bachelor mansion Airbnb listing reveals crazy facts about iconic mansion
By Cody Schultz
The Bachelor mansion recently hit Airbnb for the first time and managed to reveal several crazy facts about the house used to film ABC’s iconic series!
Never before in the history of its existence has The Bachelor mansion been available to fans for renting out; however, there’s a time for everything.
With ABC unable to film at The Bachelor mansion in 2020, the owners of the iconic home seem to be attempting to make up the income lost by listing the home on Airbnb. For nearly $6,000 per night, Bachelor Nation superfans can rent out the mansion that has been the backdrop to both The Bachelorette and Bachelor over the years and home to some of the most iconic moments in the franchise’s history.
While all eyes have been on the listing, the truth is that the fine print is actually far more interesting and has revealed quite a lot of interesting facts about the home that has called The Bachelor and Bachelorette for nearly two decades.
1. The Bachelor mansion is located in Agoura Hills, not LA
While many might assume the mansion is located in Los Angeles, it’s actually located in Agoura Hills, which is about 45 minutes to an hour away from the downtown LA area. As the listing on Airbnb notes, the mansion is “situated within the Santa Monica Mountains” on a 10-acre property.
2. The Bachelor mansion has 10,000 square feet of interior space and an additional 20,000 square feet of outside space
There’s a reason why ABC’s producers likely selected the now iconic mansion as the backdrop for The Bachelorette and Bachelor, beyond its beautiful design and location: it’s a huge property! As the Airbnb listing boasts, The Bachelor mansion consists of a combined 30,000 square feet with 10,000 square feet of interior space and an additional 20,000 square feet of outside space.
3. The Bachelor mansion is way older than you might assume!
Sure we know the mansion is classic and timeless, but we would have never guessed its real age! As revealed on Airbnb, the Mediterranean-style revival home is promoted as being 200 years old.
4. The Bachelor Mansion boasts seven bedrooms
There’s plenty of room for romance to spark in The Bachelor mansion, in fact, the house boasts seven bedrooms each which provides guests plenty of privacy. As revealed on Airbnb, each of the mansion’s bedrooms are single-bed rooms with three rooms hosting king-size beds, three hosting queen-size beds and one with a small double bed.

5. The Bachelor mansion is pet friendly
Clearly ABC’s producers aren’t the only ones who love pets! The infamous mansion is a proud pet-friendly Airbnb, though it does seem to restrict guest pets to under 25 pounds, so the owners clearly make an exception for ABC’s bachelors and bachelorettes.
6. There is absolutely no smoking in The Bachelor mansion
Ever wonder why we’ve never seen a bachelor or bachelorette slip away to enjoy a smoke? As it turns out, The Bachelor mansion has a strict no smoking policy. Not only is smoking not allowed within the home, but there is no smoking on the property lands as well. If anyone wants to light one up, they’ll have to step outside the gates which is the one permitted area for smoking on the property.
7. A family lives in The Bachelor mansion and vacates twice a year for ABC
Wouldn’t you know, The Bachelor mansion is more than just a fancy house used to film television series! The home is actually owned by a family who lives there throughout the year and moves out twice a year to make room for ABC’s production team to film the latest seasons of The Bachelorette and Bachelor.
8. No partying at The Bachelor mansion after 9 pm!
It’s unclear whether the property’s owners make an exception for ABC but in their official Airbnb listing it’s noted that no loud music is prohibited after 9 pm in either the front or back yards. They also restrict interested guests from hosting large gatherings — in other words, no trying to host your own Bachelor or Bachelorette event.
