Adele sings her major hits in hilarious The Bachelor sketch on SNL

Adele competes for a chance at love (with her greatest hits) during SNL’s parody of The Bachelor–and it is hilarious.
Adele is back, ladies and gentlemen! Well, not with a new album just yet but she did stop by Saturday Night Live for her hosting debut. It’d be an understatement to say she was amazing because she brought the sass, the hilarity, and of course, a handful of her greatest hits with her.
While we expected a lot of that, I don’t think any of us anticipated that Adele would participate in a parody about The Bachelor. In true Bachelor contestant fashion, she declared her “reasons” for being there, and I must say, she did a standup job of playing the part.
"Hi I’m Adele Adkins, I’m 32. You may know me as the singer Adele. I’m here because I’ve had a lot of heartbreak in my life. First at 19, and then sort of famously at 21. And then even more famously at 25. But I have a really good feeling about Ben K. It’s only night one but I could already tell he’s the love of my life."
During the skit’s first impression rose segment, Adele lost to her fellow contestant, Hannah C. (Heidi Gardner). Overwhelmed by the loss, she belted out the lyrics to “Someone Like You”. How does that song fit into this context? I’m so glad you asked.
"I heard that you’re settled down. That you found a girl and you’re married now. I heard that your dreams came true."
Of course, our Bachelor Ben K. (Bennett Beck) had to remind dear Adele the competition has only just begun and no one is married to anyone yet. But that didn’t stop her from interfering every second she got, and Bachelor Nation was here for every second of it.
Is there any chance we can actually get Adele on The Bachelor? We all would love nothing more than her giving “Can I steal you for a second” a completely different meaning.
She went on to sing “When We Were Young” during some one-on-one time with the Bachelor, at which point he and the other “contestants” were all but fed up with her incessant musical interrupting. But nothing quite beats the moment Adele began singing “Hello” from behind a bush while Ben K. was with another contestant.
Seriously, can she be the host every week?
The skit wrapped up with her performing “Rolling in the Deep” when she was interrupted by another contestant, and then came full circle with an encore performance of “Someone Like You” as the Bachelor and other “contestants” cheered her on with excitement. I mean this is Adele we’re talking about, competition be damned.
All in all, The Bachelor parody was a resounding success giving us everything we love and hate to love about the franchise while also giving Adele the platform to belt out some of her iconic songs. Because, let’s be honest, that is exactly what we tuned in for.
Who else thinks Adele should join Bachelor Nation in some capacity?
