The Bachelorette Season 16 is off to an incredibly dramatic start, judging by last night’s best and worst moments!

Chris Harrison says it every year (and will say it again for The Bachelorette Season 16)–“This may be the most dramatic season ever!” Needless to say, fans of Bachelor Nation have learned to take this statement with a giant block of salt. However, one thing is generally true, no matter the season, the drama that does exist comes chiefly from the contestants. The lead is generally the mediator, the welcome relief from the endless contestant interactions.

This week’s episode proved that the same cannot be said for The Bachelorette Season 16. It may be the first time in years that the lead herself, for better or worse, is the chief source of drama. Coming into this season, after years of having Clare on our screens, we all knew a few things about our lead–she is emotional, wears her heart on her sleeve, and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. This week, we got to see how these qualities come into play in the tense environment that is the Bachelor bubble, and one thing is for sure–in terms of drama, the episode did not disappoint.

Without further ado, let’s get to some of the best and worst moments from this week’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 16!

Disclaimer: I do love this show and I do love Clare. But I’m afraid I had more “worst moments” than “best moments.” Fair warning!
