The Bachelorette season 16, episode 2 recap: The guys take it all off during dodgeball
Tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette featured different love languages, one-on-one therapy, and strip dodgeball. But only one person went home tonight!
The first group date of this week’s episode of The Bachelorette included Riley, Jordan, Yosef, Ivan, Ben, Bennett, Zac C., Zac J., and Dale. They worked through the different love languages, starting with words of affirmation. Everyone was vulnerable, expressing how they felt about Clare while all the guys listened. The gifts were thoughtful, and everyone felt uncomfortable during the physical touch experiment. Lastly, quality time was during the after-party, but of course, Clare wanted to get to know Dale the most.
The after-party started awkwardly. None of the guys jumped at the opportunity to spend time with Clare first. Although Bennett was the first to ask for some time, Clare left him waiting while she confronted the other guys about not stepping up. The night was less tense after Clare’s confrontation. To everyone’s surprise, Riley received the group rose, not Dale.
Jason landed the first solo date. Before meeting up, they both wrote letters to the younger version of themselves. The date was very emotional, and they shared many deep feelings and thoughts.
The last group date involved the guys playing strip dodgeball while Chris Harrison and Clare judged. There were plenty of ball jokes and competitive vibes. The winners spent time with Clare during the after-party. The losers shocked everyone at the hotel when they walked inside nude.
Blake was distraught because he had such a minimal amount of time with Clare compared to the others. Even though he lost, he crashed the after-party to chat with Clare. The winners were upset and stood up to Blake. Clare appreciated Blake visiting her, but she made him leave. He went in for a kiss before leaving, and Clare rejected him.
The awkwardness continued when Clare spent time with Brandon. He admitted to never watching her previous seasons and only signing up for the show because he thought Clare was beautiful. She didn’t like that he didn’t know anything about her and sent him home. Eventually, the after-party ended, and Chasen received the group date rose.
The cocktail party started by Clare taking Blake aside and offering him a rose. Clare didn’t want him to worry that he was going home that night. The rest of the guys weren’t thrilled to see Blake’s rose.
The night finished with Clare and Dale sharing a heated kiss. Unfortunately, there was no rose ceremony this week, which only means next week is going to be all kinds of dramatic!
And we can’t wait for it!
Who do you think is going home next week? Let us know in the comments!
The next episode of The Bachelorette is this Tuesday, Oct. 27th, on ABC at 8 PM EST!
