The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere paved the way for this season’s heroes and villains. Who made it on our week 1 list?

The Bachelorette Season 16 is off to a great start, and it’s safe to say the world is falling in love with the outspoken, no-nonsense Clare Crawley. I know I’ve become a fan fairly quickly, and can’t wait to see where her journey will lead us.

Last week’s premiere got us acquainted with the men of the season, and it didn’t take very long to separate the good from the bad. At this point, Bachelor Nation fans have become pros at weeding out the ones that will likely make it far from the ones that won’t be around for too long.

It was pretty easy to do that during The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere, wouldn’t you say? So, without further ado, check out week 1’s heroes and villains below!

The Villains: Yosef and Tyler C.

It was the very first night of The Bachelorette Season 16, and yet, the drama was not slow to start. I am absolutely in love with how Clare handled this entire situation. You go, girl! She knew it had nothing to do with her, so she let the men hash it out for themselves while she went to talk to the other men. Seriously, this girl is perfect!

But I digress.

The situation I’m referring to here is between Yosef and Tyler C. Apparently, Tyler C. had some information about Yosef DMing women before coming onto the show. He felt his motives were shady, and wanted to convey that concern to Clare.

I’m not really on either guy’s side here, but both of them were involved in a rather stupid situation altogether. At this point, we all understand that because of the pandemic and delays in production, there was no sure-fire guarantee that the season was even going to happen, especially in the earlier days.

So, is it a big deal that Yosef may have been DMing women? Probably not, at least not in the grand scheme of things. Of course, there are certain red flags to be mindful of, but it didn’t seem quite like the red flag Tyler C. was making it out to be.

As a result, he was sent home on night one, and Yosef got to stay. But given his attitude over the whole ordeal, I don’t see Yosef sticking around for much longer either. Apart from this situation, I’m just not a fan.

The Heroes: Dale and Blake Moynes

Ah yes, I think we can all collectively agree both Dale and Blake Moynes were the true shining stars of The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere. From the get-go, both of these gentlemen had that attractive, enticing vibe about them. Mature, grounded, and respectful. They didn’t create any ruckus or drama and kept their sole focus on Clare alone.

Let’s start with Blake Moynes first. We learned that Clare and Blake had interacted before the season began filming, and it was a bit of a risky move on Blake’s part, but an adorable, sweet one. After learning that Clare’s mom had fallen and was injured, Blake took the chance to reach out to Clare, despite strict rules against this.

Basically, he was willing to risk his spot on the show to make sure Clare was doing okay. I mean, come on, how amazing is that?! And for those of us who thought Clare was going to express her annoyance over this, we were immediately proven wrong. In fact, she told Blake how much she appreciated that, and how it meant so much to her that he was willing to risk it all just to make sure she’s okay. If that’s not a hero, I don’t know what is.

And then there’s Dale. The guy who Clare immediately fell in love with at first sight, and even hinted that it could be her husband. I mean the sparks were there from the minute they laid eyes on each other, and I think it’s pretty much game over for the rest of the guys at this point.

I’m not sure what element of the rumors are true, but I don’t think any of us can deny the charm, sweetness, and beauty Dale brings to The Bachelorette Season 16. I think we all felt what Clare felt when she saw him, and for that alone, he is truly one of the heroes already.
