After a long wait because due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Clare Crawley finally has a chance at finding love on The Bachelorette Season 16!

Tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette Season 16 started by showing us how Clare and the men prepared for this unique quarantine season. After isolation and multiple COVID tests, Clare met the 31 men who took time away to meet her.

The limo entrances didn’t disappoint. One of the goofiest introductions was Jason Foster wearing a pregnant belly–a homage to when Clare first met Juan Pablo Galavis. There was also a knight in shining armor, someone wearing a straitjacket, and a man rolling inside of a giant bubble. Some of the more thoughtful introductions included a man wearing a shirt with Clare’s dogs on it and someone giving her flip flops to wear later when her feet hurt.

After meeting Dale Moss, Clare emotionally proclaimed that she felt like she just met her husband. Chris Harrison quickly came to her side and shared that no one had ever made an instant statement like that. She continued meeting the rest of the men, but her mind remained on Dale.

The Bachelorette Season 16 drama started pretty quickly when Tyler Cottrill confronted Yosef Aborady over some direct messages Yosef sent to women on Instagram. Yosef went to Clare about the issue, and she brought both men together right away. She heard more about the situation but decided to leave them to spend time with people she hadn’t spoken with already.

Blake Moynes was Clare’s first kiss of the season. She thanked him for reaching out to her before the show started. There’s a rule to not reach out to anyone before filming, but Clare’s mom suffered an injury, and Blake contacted her to see how she and her mom were doing.

But Clare’s chemistry was stronger with Dale and she gave him the first impression rose. They were smiling from ear to ear after sharing a kiss. But for eight guys, their chance to find love ended early during the first rose ceremony.

And just like that, we’ve already gotten through the highly anticipated The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere! Here’s to an amazing (and very dramatic) season ahead!
