The Bachelorette Season 16 premiered last night after months of waiting, and Clare did not disappoint!

Clare, Clare, Clare. Have I mentioned I love Clare? I must say, many years ago when Clare first came onto our screens on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor, I was not a huge fan. I enjoyed watching her but never thought I would come to see her as an amazing lead of The Bachelorette. However, I must admit—Clare is wonderful. She tears up constantly (reminding me of how I would be as the lead), she isn’t afraid to get deep and emotional with the men, and she is honest to a fault.

Best of all, it’s clear this woman is incapable of acting–she’s so real that she even confessed to The Bachelorette Season 16 production right away that she felt like Dale was her husband! What other lead would do that? Colton Underwood has even admitted he lied to production about who his favorite was to prevent them from pulling any tricks! Clare is trusting, youthful, sincere, and just generally lights up the screen. All in all, an excellent premiere showing.

Last night’s The Bachelorette Season 16 premiere was unlike any other, with the usual blend of awesome and cringeworthy moments. Without further ado, let’s discuss!
