The Bachelorette Season 16: Pre-season power rankings
By Bachelor Bob
We’ve had about a week to digest the bios of the 31 men vying for Clare Crawley’s heart on The Bachelorette Season 16–but what are their odds ahead of the season premiere?
After spending hours breaking down each bio and ranking the men 31-1, I can say with certainty, that there are only a handful of them who have a shot at this thing. That’s not to say that the rest of this motley crew, which is primarily made up of former football players, aren’t great guys. I’m sure they’re all wonderful people–The Bachelor franchise has a long history of casting stand up men to date their Bachelorettes, so why would The Bachelorette Season 16 be any different?
Moving swiftly along, I’m here to present to you your new favorite weekly article about The Bachelorette Season 16. I combine our favorite reality program with America’s true pastime: gambling. I spent a lot of time thinking about it and I came to the conclusion that the center of the “Bachelor Nation” and “Degenerate Gambler” Venn diagram is likely enormous.
With that said, I will put together a weekly update of my personal power rankings along with the most up-to-date “Vegas odds” for each of the remaining contestants throughout the duration of The Bachelorette Season 16.
As a disclaimer, this is very much a spoiler-free zone. The only information from outside of the show that will be directly or indirectly referenced at times will be information that is widely reported by reputable news outlets.
In this week’s installment, I’ve ranked the guys based on absolutely nothing except for their official bios that can be found on ABC.com. Once the men were ranked, I used a complex formula to generate the odds of them winning the season. Please note that I’m not sure if there is any bookie in America who would actually take bets with these odds, but that’s not really important.
Without further ado, here is the first edition of the Bachelor Bob Power Rankings for The Bachelorette Season 16!
