The Bachelorette Season 16 is almost upon us! In two short weeks, we’ll get to watch Clare Crawley’s journey to find love unfold right in front of our eyes.
I really can’t wait. The last time we had new Bachelor programming (sorry, I’m not counting Listen to Your Heart), Barb Weber roasted Madison Prewett on live television to cap off a particularly cringe-worthy season. That was 203 days ago. Two. Hundred. Three. Days.
Way back on March 10, 2020, when Pilot Pete’s finale aired, 2020 was still on track to be a pretty average (but not terrible!) year. COVID had barely made its way to the U.S. Tom Brady was still on the Patriots. I had never baked banana bread. I hadn’t downloaded TikTok. The Quarantine Crew (Hannah Brown., Tyler Cameron, Matt James, and co.) hadn’t yet formed. We woke up that morning in March and Pilot Pete was engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss. Since then, he ended his relationship with Hannah Ann, he tried and failed with Madi, and he has since started dating Kelley Flanagan. Incredible. The month or two after the season was more eventful and fun to watch than the entire twelve-episode run of The Bachelor Season 24.
That brings us to Clare Crawley. The Bachelorette Season 16’s lead. Getting her shot at love that she probably deserved several years ago. Finally. After production was delayed, the season filmed a short time ago in a bubble at the La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs, California. With this unique travel-free format, it is sure to be a season, unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Who knows, we may even see a guest appearance from, oh, I don’t know, Tayshia Adams, perhaps?
With all of that said, I’m here to introduce you to Clare’s cast of characters in The Bachelorette Season 16 with some commentary of my own plus some commentary from Chris Harrison’s live stream.
