The Bachelorette Season 5: Where is Kiptyn Locke now?

Raise your hand if you remember Kiptyn Locke from season 5 of The Bachelorette.

Kiptyn Locke first came into our lives during The Bachelorette season 5 when he competed for Jillian Harris’ heart. It feels like a lifetime ago given we’re headed into the sixteenth season of the series, but yet, it feels like yesterday.

Many Bachelor Nation fans, especially those that are a part of the Colton Underwood onwards era, may have no idea who Kiptyn Locke is or may have never heard of him. But hey, that’s what we’re here for, right?

During Harris’ season, Locke was the runner-up, but he was extremely hesitant and uneasy about popping the question, and eventually that hesitation sent him straight home. Locke’s Bachelor Nation journey didn’t end there though as he went on to appear on The Bachelor Pad. Yes, guys, that was a show too–super fans and past contestants living together at the mansion competing for a cash prize of $250,000.

Anyone else not so shocked that the show didn’t go on for too long?

Kiptyn Locke ended up with contestant Tenley Molzahn while on the show, and while the couple dated for years on and off, they ultimately weren’t endgame. However, life went on and circa July 2015, Locked welcomed his son Koltyn into the world with his then-girlfriend Samm Murphy.

Nowadays, it seems Locke is a single father enjoying life with his adorable little now 5-year-old son, hanging out at the beach in California.

Over the years we’ve seen all kinds of Bachelor Nation alums come and go, and while some get lost in the wind, they continue to make a mark in the franchise as the years go by. Kiptyn Locke is one of those alums, and I think for anyone that watched Jillian Harris’ season, we can’t soon forget the indecisive man that was sent home.

But I do have one burning question–why did he come onto the show if he wasn’t ready for a proposal, though? Just asking.
