The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever: 3 Nick Viall moments we did not see
By Julia Wagner
The Backstreet Boys!
Okay, I cannot believe the recap glossed over this incredible group date from early in Nick’s season! I suppose it wasn’t very relevant to his overall love story, but the powers that be really outdid themselves when they got the Backstreet Boys to come to the Bachelor Mansion and take the girls on a group date!
This group date provided a great deal of comic relief when the girls had to learn the dance moves to “Everybody.” Corinne in particular seemed to have a hard time with the dance! Turns out, (shocker) it was all in preparation to be the back up dancers at an actual Backstreet Boys concert that night!
The Bachelor has had a lot of impressive guest stars in its run, but this one remains the most impressive.
Nick has a breakdown
The mid-season “lead has a breakdown” story has become more commonplace in recent seasons, but Nick’s was perhaps the most mysterious. After sending both Whitney and Danielle home from a two-on-one date, Nick proceeded to dive right off the deep end. This was most mysterious, given that it didn’t seem like he had a particularly strong “connection” with either woman.
Nick and the producers then felt that it was necessary and appropriate to go visit the remaining women and cry to them about how hard it was to send Danielle home. The women mostly reacted with blank stares as Nick wept in their hotel room. Obviously this was meant to further the storyline of Nick being a broken toy who will never find love, but it mostly came off as an uncomfortable choice by production!
