The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever: 3 Jason Mesnick moments we did not see
By Julia Wagner
Melissa waits around for hours!
We got to see a good amount of Melissa and Jason’s relationship during this week’s The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever, but there was one moment I remember fondly that didn’t make the cut. Jason’s final few women had traveled to Seattle, and Melissa got a one-on-one date card. She got all dolled up, expecting Jason to come to the door any minute to pick her up.
Jason did not show up, and we got to see a fabulous real world scene of Melissa sitting around with the other girls, complaining that Jason was late. For a show that involves a ton of waiting around, it was nice to see the show actually acknowledge that sometimes the women do have to wait forever, with no knowledge of what is going on!
Jason did eventually call and ask Melissa to come to his house, but I for one was glad we got to see the Bachelor stars in a more down to earth, relatable situation— who hasn’t had to wait on a guy to show up before??
Jason and Molly go camping
Okay, this was one moment from Season 13 that genuinely surprises me, looking back. Near the start of the season, Molly won the “write a song for Jason” contest, and what better way to celebrate than camping in a tent in Jason’s yard?
At first it seemed like this was just a way to hang out outside and eat some fast food while they got to know each other better, but it quickly became clear that they were legitimately sleeping over in this tent.
Call me crazy, but for a show that, at least in those days, was purported to be very traditional, this night together in the tent seemed a little out of place and was very glossed over in the house. I refuse to believe that didn’t cause more drama! Molly actually walked back into the house in the morning wearing Jason’s clothes—so bold!
