The Bachelorette: What is going on with Clare Crawley’s season?
By Ariba Bhuvad
The Bachelorette Season 16 is filled with all sorts of mysteries. The latest? Backup contestants.
The Bachelorette Season 16 began filming some weeks back, and so far, it seems like things have been going well. We haven’t heard anything about anyone testing positive for coronavirus, which is the biggest concern the production will have throughout the remainder of filming.
However, Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette has much more mystery beyond health concerns. For a season that seemed unlikely to take place due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was already off to a rough start. Luckily, they got things started, but it’s what supposedly has taken place 2 weeks into filming that is of particular interest.
Bear in mind this isn’t official and has only been confirmed by Bachelor Nation guru Reality Steve. Allegedly, according to a report by US Weekly, about a couple of weeks into filming The Bachelorette Season 16, some of the backup contestants were asked to come in.
These contestants had gone through the vetting process, but for whatever reason, were not selected for the final batch. If contestants were truly called back in, then did something happen during production? I mean wouldn’t that be the case if they needed to bring in backup?
Now the question remains–what could have happened that resulted in them needing to do this? Did a couple of the contestants test positive? Did one of the contestants get on Clare’s bad side? Or did someone just really piss off the production? Or perhaps someone wanted to go home on their own?
The possibilities are sort of endless here, but it’s definitely a rumored mystery that we’re hoping to get more clarity on in the coming days.
My head is definitely buzzing with a lot of theories and I’m sure you guys plenty of your own.
