The one with Desiree Hartsock’s meddling brother

The Bachelor is quick to remind us during hometown dates that at some point in time, if you make it far enough, you will have to endure hometown dates. While for some it goes effortlessly and perfectly, for others, it’s a make or break situation.

Such was the case for Sean Lowe and Desiree Hartsock during their visit to Desiree’s hometown. Instead of being put under the microscope by her parents, Sean was forced to deal with Desiree’s brother, Nate. Without knowing anything about Sean at all, Nate called him “fake” and “a playboy”. Yikes, that wouldn’t bode well for family dinners in the future, would it?

Sean, being the calm gentleman he is, didn’t try to fight Nate, or put him down. He simply remained composed and just tried to get through the hometown date with his dignity intact. Of course, later we learned that Sean was filled with anger to the brim. But out of respect for Desiree and her parents, Sean kept mum during the whole ordeal.

Sadly, Desiree was sent home after the hometown date, and I can’t say we blame Sean. As much as he may have liked/loved Desiree, dealing with Nate could have been problematic in the future. And ain’t nobody got time for that!
