The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever is taking it back to the very beginning!
The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever is really throwing it back in tonight’s episode. In fact, we’re going back in time to the very first season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. In case you don’t know or have forgotten, our first Bachelor was Alex Michel and first Bachelorette was Trista Sutter.
Their seasons were about 18 years ago. Yes, 18 years. It was the early 2000s folks, when smartphones weren’t a thing, Napster was all the rage, and our form of communication was AOL Instant Messenger. Just to put things into perspective.
It’s going to be a night of firsts
Quite literally The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever is going to be showing us the franchise’s first moments. Whether it’s the first rose ceremony, first group date, first kiss, first Fantasy Suite, or first proposal, we will get to experience this world when it was just starting out.
Oh, and when Chris Harrison wore clothes entirely too big for him. He was basically swimming in those oversized suits–and it was glorious. Personally, I’m looking forward to finding out the moments that Chris Harrison first began coining his infamous phrases like “most dramatic rose ceremony” ever.
We are really heading back to the start, folks!
It’s been 18+ years since these seasons aired, and it’s safe to say everyone involved in these seasons is in a completely different place in their lives all this time later. We’ll likely be catching up with the leads, their contestants, and learning about what life has been like these past two decades. Isn’t it wild to think that some of them may have kids in college now?
