JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers almost called it quits

JoJo Fletcher almost didn’t get her happily ever after.

JoJo Fletcher was all smiles during last night’s The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever as we looked back on her journey as the Bachelorette. More often than not, leads don’t end up staying with the person they left engaged to.

However, in JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers’ case, they’re still happily engaged four years later. In fact, their wedding was meant to take place a couple weeks ago, but due to the coronavirus, they decided to postpone until next year.

Things weren’t always so rosy between the couple

While speaking with Chris Harrison, JoJo and Jordan reflected on their journey together, and shared that they almost didn’t make it. The couple has been very open and honest about their relationship on their YouTube channel, “Engaged with JoJo & Jordan“, and opened up once again on national television last night.

It doesn’t come as a shock that they struggled initially because the world they’re encapsulated in during filming is not the same as the real world. Sure, they’re faced with drama in the mansion or between contestants, but it’s not quite the trials and tribulations of actual life.

Talks of breaking up got pretty serious in that first year together as they sat down to talk about potentially going their own ways. Love was there, yes, but was it enough?

Heck yes, it was!

Instead of breaking up, both JoJo and Jordan opted to stay together and weather the storm. It wasn’t easy, but they made it through to the other side. I always love hearing about Bachelor Nation stories that wind up like this.

Being out in the real world is tough when couples meet in this manner, so it takes a lot to keep the momentum going. Love may be there, but it’s not the only thing one needs when trying to make a relationship work.

JoJo Fletcher is one of my favorite Bachelorettes, and I always admired her for the decisions she made and the kindness she always tried to bestow on her contestants. It warms my heart to see her so happy with Jordan, and I’m really hoping that next year ABC gives them a deal to televise their wedding.

I think this is one we all want to be there for, right?
