Why didn’t Jason Tartick propose to Kaitlyn Bristowe during The Bachelor: GOAT?

Jason Tartick had the perfect opportunity to purpose to fellow Bachelor Nation alum, Kaitlyn Bristowe, during Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever. I mean, the promos even alluded to a big surprise and teased a “proposal”.

As we all came to learn, while it wasn’t the proposal we were expecting, it was something truly exciting for Bristowe herself who was asked to finally join Dancing with the Stars as a contestant. But still, wouldn’t you have loved to see a proposal?

So, why didn’t he?

Well, Jason Tartick was given the opportunity to propose to Kaitlyn Bristowe during Monday night’s segment, but he opted not to, as he revealed to ET’s Lauren Zima. While we would have all loved to see the proposal broadcasted into all of our homes, I get why he decided against it.

Their lives are already on blast every step of the way, given the nature of the franchise they joined. But, it doesn’t mean everything has to be shown to the public. Sometimes there is a comfort in just doing things the traditional, old school way. So, I get it, Jason Tartick.

"They actually came to me asking me if I’d like to take this opportunity to propose. I shot it down after about a day of thinking."

There’s also the fact that The Bachelor: Greatest Seasons Ever was talking all about Kaitlyn’s journey on The Bachelorette. Would he have really wanted to mix a proposal in the middle of the show talking about her past romantic history? Not exactly the type of memory you want to be left with.

Kaitlyn was totally okay with no on-screen proposal.

Phew, Jason Tartick got lucky there! It could have very well been that Kaitlyn would have appreciated the whole ordeal, but she was thankful he decided against it. It’s an intimate moment she wants to share with him, and I for one, totally get that.

So, when can we expect proposal news? Well, Kaitlyn and Jason have been looking at rings, but she doesn’t want a quarantine proposal.

"All I know is that I don’t want it to be like, live somehow in front of people. I want it to be a private moment. I don’t want it to be quarantined, but I want it to be private."

We’ll have to keep an eye out for news on that front, but in the meantime, we’re stanning this couple every step of the way.
