The premiere: Sean just can’t wait until the rose ceremony

On the premiere episode of Sean’s season, Sean/the producers decided to start handing out roses on the spot instead of waiting for the rose ceremony at the end of the night. Why take the extra few hours to get to know these strangers when you can make split-second decisions upon meeting them?

Last night, we got to see Sean giving Tierra a rose in front of the limo, but we didn’t get a chance to see him continue to hand out roses throughout the night. The show has since halted this practice, and it’s probably for the best. The rose ceremony must have its chance to create maximum tension! Check out the drama that ensued from this decision:

Sean and Desiree: The art museum prank

Oh, the many elaborate date ideas of The Bachelor. Sometimes they’re hits, sometimes… not. On this particular one-on-one date between Sean and Desiree, the show decided to Houdini it up and pull the classic “priceless piece of art explodes out of nowhere” trick. Sean and Chris Harrison watched from the camera room as Des was left standing by herself for what seemed like way too long of a time. Interesting dating technique there!

To rub salt in the wound, the show then thought it was a marvelous idea to send a couple of actors into the room to shame Desiree into thinking she destroyed an expensive work of art. She actually seemed close to tears by the end! Thankfully, Desiree was a good sport about it all when Sean arrived to tell her it was all a joke. Years later, I’m still wondering whose idea this date was. We may never know.

See Sean’s prank for yourself!
