Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham share some very personal news with Bachelor Nation.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and wife Lauren Burnham took to social media today to reveal a recent tragedy they have experienced. On their YouTube channel, the couple shared their story which they had been chronicling from the moment they found out they were pregnant.

The 27-minute video details their journey all the way through the moment they found out the saddening news. The video reveals Lauren’s initial plan to prank Arie Luyendyk Jr. by pretending she was pregnant, but the joke was on her as the couple soon learned that they were indeed expecting.

The couple hopes sharing their story will help others going through the same.

Hearing their story is truly heartbreaking, especially as you watch the final few minutes of the video. But Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham don’t mean to bring anyone down, but instead, hope that opening up about their recent experience will help others in the same boat.

Throughout their journey, they remained positive even after their first follow-up revealed something may not be right. The hope remained as did their desire to document their journey. Unfortunately, a couple of visits later, they were informed of the miscarriage but chose to hold off on sharing it with the rest of the world.

"It’s been a roller coaster of emotions, going from scared a little at first because it was so soon, then happy then stressed and worried for weeks on end, and obviously today was the bad news and it’s something you can never prepare for. It’s been hard holding this back from everybody."

With some time to process their loss, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are now ready to share their experience with the world in the hopes that it will comfort others going through something similar, and who might be feeling a bit lonely through it.

In the video, they reveal that it’s been hard to keep this from people, and that coupled with the tragedy, has been a very difficult experience. The video not only serves as a comforting tool for others but in a way, helps them process all that has transpired in the weeks since they got the news.
