While Jamie and her love triangle stole the show in the premiere of The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart, it looks like everyone now wants to steal Brandon for a sec.

If your favorite pastime is laughing at Jed’s failed music career, The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart is the show for you – the only caveat being that Trevor apparently went outfit shopping in Jed’s closet. With episode one in the books, it appears we have a new hot commodity taking center stage next week.

Viewers unaware of the show’s premise prior to tuning in likely thought this was another season of The Bachelorette starring Jamie, with suitors Ryan and Trevor as her contestants, and a supporting cast of musical guests for her one-on-one dates. However, episode two appears to turn the spotlight on former Marine and current crooner, Brandon Mills.

Since we essentially learned nothing outside the dominant love triangle in the premiere, here’s a quick refresher on Brandon. Per his bio on ABC, Brandon was a cool fourth-grader who played the saxophone (meanwhile, I emulated Squidward and played the clarinet for unknown reasons), his drink of choice is Mescal – essentially a fancy version of Tequila, the specifics of which I failed to retain on my drunk tequila tour in a parking lot at a Mexico resort, and he once opened for Jason Derulo in Times Square. Petition for Riding Solo to be the song of choice next week.

With that in-depth, personable bio in mind, let’s see what’s in store for our jazz band extraordinaire next week. An exclusive sneak peek released by PEOPLE reveals Brandon torn between two suitors – Savannah and Mel. Dare I say, he’s having difficulty listening to his heart?

ABC/Maarten de Boer: SAVANNAH

ABC/Maarten de Boer: MEL

With the most normal and realistic quote ever uttered on the show, Brandon tells Savannah, “It’s hard to have a deep, emotional connection with [someone] in two weeks.” Meanwhile, contestants on the parent show call the lead their boyfriend three days in. I digress.

Brandon is then shown conversing with Mel, admitting he wants to “continue to keep options open and continue to pursue conversations like this, hanging out.” At least he’s being honest. Again, a friendly reminder that the contestants have known each other for a few days tops. Also, are there supposed to be engagements at the end of this? I truly cannot take another proposal with a guitar as a wingman.

With that said, Savannah appears to be the one in the driver’s seat this week, as she receives the oh-so-coveted date card. I know this preview has been subtle and mysterious so far, but spoiler alert: she chooses Brandon as her “guy [who’s] hitting all the right notes.” The scene ends with Mel running out of the room faster than Madi if she ran into Barb on the street.

If nothing else, Brandon and Savannah make an extremely hot couple. But will Mel come from behind and steal Brandon’s heart in the end? You have nothing better to do, so be sure to tune in on Monday night and find out.
