The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart: Best and worst moments from Week 1
By Rida Qadri
Connections are forming!
Bachelor Nation is definitely used to connections being formed on dates, but the connections that are forming when music is involved is on another level. There is something special about the magic that is created when the contestants are gazing into each other’s eyes while singing a John Mayer song.
Jamie and Ryan did exactly this on their one-on-one date, and it was truly genuine! It is refreshing to be able to see the start of a potential romance play out in this manner. We’re not sure if these two will end up together but, we’re excited about the potential of it anyway.
Girl power!
Though it is VERY early on, it seems like some strong friendships are beginning to form. When Jamie felt extremely conflicted about whether to give her rose to Trevor or Ryan, she was able to relay on Bekah for comfort.
Let’s not forget, multiple times during the episode, Savannah was giving the other women advice as she probably normally would in real life. We are so here for these friendships!
Rose ceremonies and Chris Harrison
I feel like I want to state this as a “best moment” because truly this show is something we have never seen before. Historically speaking, The Bachelor: Winter Games, Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor Pad, The Bachelor, and The Bachelorette usually have contestants from past seasons.
Watching this show definitely seems different however there are certain things that feel just like home. You know, like hearing Chris Harrison announce “Time for the final rose” or when rose ceremonies start and we start feeling nervous and getting sweaty thinking what the contestants might do next. We know we’re back to our natural roots!
We never want to see this trifecta ever change!
